Director Homer Liwag wanted to connect the outside world with the magic inside the showroom in this expanded Director’s Cut. Homer worked closely with Art of Play’s Creative Director Adam Rubin to flush out the script and create a subtle narrative – a bit of a challenge considering the cast of characters include spinning tops, Japanese puzzles, custom playing cards and a wooden robot. An incredible score, composed and performed by James Grote, put the finishing touch on the final film.

Their interest in cards began at an early age when they practiced card tricks, and pioneered the art of cardistry. With a background in sleight of hand, magic and illusion, Art of Play’s expansion into puzzles and games was a natural leap forward.
Today, Art of Play curates a collection of curiosities from around the globe. From the finest playing cards in the world, innovative puzzles and games, and magical amusements for the home, we collaborate with artists to create remarkable products unlike anything else.
