“The institution of a child is considered as “I had my baby” and nothing more. How many mothers are ready in first aid? How many mothers are psychologically ready to handle a child? How many mothers are ready to help a child to nurture and grow? The social structure is based on looking pretty, being sexy, and making a killing. There is no training that life is responsibility, responsibility, and responsibility and we have to develop ability, ability, ability to face this responsibility.” -Yogi Bhajan
Pregnancy is a magical time but it can also be filled with anxiety and stress, especially if it’s your first baby. Paranoia and even panic attacks are not uncommon for the expecting mother! The fear of the unknown can cause our mind to play tricks on us, so this week I want to give you a practice that will help you keep your mind on its best behavior. We will practice a set called ‘For the State of Mind and Paranoia”.
This set works on the pituitary gland which is also known as the master gland that works in conjunction with the hypothalamus to regulate secretion of the thyroid, adrenal and reproductive glands. Your Pituitary gland is key to attaining a healthy body and keeping us emotionally and physically balanced. Remember to perform this kriya if you get into a dark headspace, it will fill you back up with light so that you can get on and enjoy the sacred gift of motherhood.
After this beautiful set, we will practice a meditation for finding ecstasy. This meditation is a perfect accompaniment as it will invoke a natural state of ecstasy and remind you that every breath is a blessing and life itself is a precious gift to be cherished.
Humee Hum Brahm Hum We are We. We are God.
