We have consulted with Dr Clifford Vance Cast, Delta Trading Group, SP500 E-mini Trading Group, and the micro E-mini Trading Group in the marketing of this officially sanctioned video on Futures Trading.
Majority of our members use the Ensign Charting Software for visualization, and
Transact Futures as their data provider. This video will show you how to
configure Transact Futures with Ensign.
Whenever you’re looking at your Ensign charts, first you want to look at the
toolbar and your toolbar is up at the very top of the screen. This is your
toolbar, and you want to go to setup, and click feeds. Whenever this window pops up, make sure that you are in data feeds and it’s on the top left-hand corner of the window. And directly under data feeds, you’ll see all of the different data vendors that you have to choose from. So in this case, my data vendor is Transact Futures. So I’m going to make sure that
Transact Futures is highlighted on the left hand column. The area where my mouse is- make sure you check “auto connect” so every time you bring up your charts it’ll automatically connect. From here, I’m gonna go ahead and click “Configure”. Whenever this configuration window pops up, here you’ll put your username, password, and account number according to the data vendor that you’re with. So again, I’m with Transact. I’ve already redacted my information, just for privacy and security purposes. Please keep in mind that this area is extremely case sensitive, so make sure that you type your username and password exactly how it appears on your account. Under “Feed mode”, make sure you select “live” and then, under “Feed protocol” select “TCP”. After you ensure all of your account information and your feeds are correct, you can go ahead and exit out of this window. Now, looking back at this data feed window, the next step is just pressing “Connect”. Now if you look at the right-hand side of this window, you’ll see this little area that says “Data Feed”. Right now, the status says “Connecting” and then once it connects, this status will move to “On-line” and that’s how you know that your data feed is live.
